In early January, the world lost one of the biggest hearts it ever had. I was honored to know him and even more honored to be respected by him in the very short time I knew him. As I was looking for a subject to sketch recently, I found a picture of Jay in my folders that I had used to make the second imagethat went into a memorial design at the place we worked.
I used Adobe Line with the Ink & Slide to do an angular sketch of him as another memory of him captured on my digital canvas. I raise my glass (of which I designed for one of Jay's stores) to him tonight.
I miss you Sweet Baby Jay.
