Edgar Allan Poe- B&W/Poem Illustration

Since I sort of flaked on Inktober, I figured I would do another mobile vector drawing. Wanted to experiment with other ways of shading. Edit: Took it another step further in Illustrator and added the poem, The Raven as a formed text to the face.

After putting drawing and putting the original image online, I was struck by the idea of putting some depth to his face using the words of his most famous poem, The Raven. The original was exported to Illustrator and cleaned up and then the words were dropped in and shaped to form the color of his face.
